The surroundings :

Kastell Dinec’h hotel is located in the heart of the Trégor – Côte d’Ajoncs region, one of Brittany’s most beautiful and wilder coast between the île de Bréhat and the Côte de Granit Rose, 2 kms from the historical center of Tréguier, which is the capital of the Trégor. It has the label : “Petite cité de caractère”.

Tréguier gets its richness from a remarquable architectural heritage. It is the memory of a great religious and cultural past. You can visit the cloister and cathedral of Xth century, its old alleyways together with its timber-framed houses, the old convents and the private gardens, etc. You can also attend the “Pardon de Saint-Yves” on the third sunday of May which is the most attended Pardon of Brittany.

The Kastell Dinec’h has an ideal location. It is 16 kms from Paimpol which is well known for its fishing port and sailing resort. It is the point of departure to the île de Bréhat. It is 11 kms from Port-Blanc and 16 kms from Perros-Guirrec which is a renowned seaside resort of the Côte de Granit Rose.

The Trégor countryside has a lot of cultural, historical or natural sites which are really worth a visit : Pontrieux “Petite cité de caractère” and its “cité des lavoirs “ ( it has many wash houses), the Kerdalo and Kerdellic magnificent gardens, the Beauport abbey which is the site of the Conservatoire du Littoral ( our nature conservancy regional body). We must not forget the nature reserve called the “Sillon de Talbert”, a natural site which is unique in Europe, etc.

 

The activities :

The Tréguier, Penvénan and Plougrescant harbours welcome the yachtsmen and give the opportunity to do a lot of water sports ( sailing, sea canoeing and boat trips (trips to the seven isles)).

You can also swim in many different places in The Trégor – Côte d’Ajoncs between Plougrescant and Trévou-Treguignec (11 kms from the hotel) or you can swim around Perros-Guirrec and Tregastel.

The Trégor is a land which favours walking. The hikers, bike or horse riders (there’s a horse riding center nearby at the Syet farm), or kayakers may take the coastal footpath (GR 34 - 2 kms from the hotel ) to discover the coast’s richness and fully enjoy this protected natural site.
